How Quad PIR Detection Works
A standard PIR generally relies on one sensing system. The ISC-BPQ2-W12 uses two PIR sensors operating like two detectors in one enclosure. Each sensor processes the infrared signal independently, and both must confirm movement before the alarm relay changes state. This provides additional verification without requiring microwave technology.
The quad design improves false-alarm resistance, but the ISC-BPQ2-W12 is not a pet-friendly detector. Homes with free-roaming pets should use a purpose-designed pet-immune model selected for the animal’s size and the installation environment.
Compatibility and Applications
The detector can be connected to compatible conventional hardwired alarm panels that accept normally closed zone contacts and provide 9–15V DC power. It is commonly used with Bosch Solution 2000, Solution 3000 and Solution 6000 systems, subject to the correct end-of-line resistor and panel programming.
