Fisheye Coverage and Dewarping

A fisheye image provides a broad overview. Dewarping reshapes portions of the circular image into easier-to-read panoramic or regional views. Ceiling and wall mounting produce different coverage and viewing layouts. Confirm that your recorder and viewing software support the dewarping modes you need before ordering.

Choose camera height and position around the activity you want to monitor. Wide coverage spreads image detail over a large area, so a dedicated close-up camera may be useful where facial or number-plate detail matters. Digital zoom cannot restore detail that was not captured.

Night Viewing and Mixed Lighting

Infrared illumination supports black-and-white viewing after dark. Test the camera in its final position, checking nearby walls and reflective surfaces that could affect exposure. Illumination range does not guarantee subject identification at that distance. WDR helps manage bright entrances and shaded areas within the scene.
