Vivotek SD9384-EHL 5MP AI PTZ Camera with 30x Optical Zoom

The Vivotek SD9384-EHL combines remote camera movement and optical zoom with intelligent event monitoring. Plan its position and recording setup around the areas where you need useful evidence. Available from CTC Communications with Australia-wide delivery and professional Sydney installation.

Key Features

5MP imaging with autofocus and optical zoom.
Continuous pan, preset tours and Smart Tracking Advanced.
Infrared illumination up to 200 m.
WDR Pro for mixed lighting.
External audio connections for supported two-way audio.

Optical Zoom, Presets and Tracking

Optical zoom lets an operator move from an overview to a closer view of activity. Configure presets and tours around important locations, then test tracking under typical site conditions. A PTZ records the direction it is facing; pair it with fixed cameras where continuous coverage of every area is essential.

AI Events and System Integration

Configure activity zones and event rules around relevant movement. Confirm firmware compatibility, recorder support and any licences for advanced analytics before ordering. Test event recording and notifications during commissioning. Detection and tracking performance depend on positioning, lighting, subject distance and settings.

Infrared Viewing and Lighting

Infrared illumination supports black-and-white viewing in darkness. Test the installed camera after dark, checking reflective surfaces and nearby structures. The illumination rating describes lighting reach; it does not guarantee identification at that distance. WDR helps manage scenes where bright and shaded areas meet.

Power and Recording Requirements

This PTZ needs an appropriate high-power source; a standard PoE camera port is insufficient. Confirm switch or injector compatibility and the power budget before installation. External audio operation requires suitable equipment and any specified connection cable. Arrange network cabling and compatible recording storage. Retention depends on capacity, bitrate and recording schedule.
