Bosch CM705PB Universal LAN Zone Expander PCB – Solution 6000
The Bosch CM705PB Universal LAN Zone Expander PCB is designed to extend compatible Bosch Solution 6000 alarm systems with additional hardwired zone inputs, programmable outputs and distributed power capacity. Connected through the Bosch RS485 system LAN, it can be positioned closer to field devices in larger or multi-area installations to simplify cabling and system expansion.
Best For
Larger homes, commercial premises and multi-area Solution 6000 installations that need additional wired zones, local power distribution or expansion hardware positioned away from the main control panel.

Eight onboard hardwired inputs: Adds additional detection and monitoring zones to a compatible Bosch system.
-
Optional 16-zone configuration: The separately purchased CM707B plug-on expander can add another eight inputs in supported end-of-line configurations.
-
Flexible zone monitoring: Supports Single EOL, Alarm + Tamper and Split EOL monitoring, with multiple resistor-value options for system design and upgrades.
-
High-security design: Includes anti-substitution protection for greater module security.
-
Protected power distribution: Six power-output terminals help simplify field wiring and include overload and short-circuit protection.
-
Technician service connection: Provides a dedicated service codepad connection point.
-
LAN setup support: Includes a LAN termination shunt and status indicators for commissioning and fault-finding.
-
Distributed installation: Suitable for positioning in remote areas of a site where additional zones, outputs and local power capacity are required.
CM705PB and CM707B Explained
The CM705PB is the main Universal LAN Zone Expander PCB with eight onboard zone inputs. The Bosch CM707B plug-on zone expander is a separate optional board that connects to the CM705PB to provide eight additional hardwired inputs.
The CM707B can be used for compatible Single EOL and Alarm + Tamper configurations, but it cannot be installed when the CM705PB is configured for Split EOL monitoring. System capacity and resistor configuration must be confirmed during programming.
Compatibility
-
Primary system: Bosch Solution 6000 alarm and access-control systems
-
Legacy system: Bosch documentation also references Solution 144 installations; panel version, firmware and system configuration should be confirmed before ordering
-
System connection: Bosch RS485 LAN
-
Optional expansion: Bosch CM707B plug-on zone expander
This is a wired alarm expansion module. It does not add wireless zones, internet connectivity, cellular reporting or smartphone-app control.
Installation and Power Planning
The CM705PB requires professional system design, installation and programming. It may be powered through the system LAN or from suitable local power equipment, depending on the cable distance, connected devices and total current demand. The installer must calculate the power budget, select the correct end-of-line monitoring mode and provide suitable RS485 cabling and enclosure protection.
For a protected installation, consider a compatible Bosch MW350 metal enclosure and suitable power equipment selected for the completed system design.
