Best For: Pedestrian gates, rim locks, residential entrances and light-commercial access control or intercom installations
FSH FES15 Rim-Mount Electric Door Strike – Non-Monitored, 1200kg, 12/24V DC
Control compatible pedestrian gates and rim-lock doors with the surface-mounted FSH FES15 Electric Door Strike.
Designed for residential and light-commercial applications, the FES15 provides up to 1200kg holding strength, dual 12V or 24V DC operation and IP56 weather resistance. Its compact surface-mounted design makes it a practical solution where a mortice-mounted strike is unsuitable.
The field-selectable Power to Lock and Power to Open mechanism allows the operating function to be configured during installation without replacing the electric strike.

Surface-Mounted Strike for Rim Locks
Unlike a mortice-mounted electric strike that is recessed into the door frame, the FES15 is designed for surface mounting with a compatible rim latch.
This makes it particularly useful for pedestrian gates and other installations where recessing a conventional electric strike into the frame may be difficult or unsuitable.
Field-Selectable Fail-Safe or Fail-Secure Operation
The FES15 uses a reversible barbell mechanism that allows its locking function to be changed during installation.
-
Power to Lock: The strike requires power to remain locked and unlocks when power is removed
-
Power to Open: The strike remains locked without power and releases when power is applied
The correct operating mode depends on the gate or door, access control design, emergency-release requirements and applicable building regulations.
Non-Monitored Electric Strike
The FSH FES15 does not provide door, latch or lock-status monitoring. It is suitable for installations where the access control or intercom system only needs to release the gate or door.
If door-latch status feedback is required, consider the monitored FSH FES15M model.

Fire-Rated Applications
The FSH FES15 has been fire tested for up to four hours under applicable Australian and British fire test standards.
Fire-rating suitability depends on the complete door, frame, rim latch and installation method. Confirm compatibility with Allegion and the relevant door manufacturer before installation.
Installation and Compatibility
The FES15 must be matched with a compatible rim latch, gate or door frame, access controller, intercom and power supply. Correct alignment and suitable weather sealing are important for dependable operation.
Professional installation by a suitably qualified security or access control technician is recommended. Confirm the required operating mode, voltage, rim-latch compatibility and fire requirements before ordering.
