Understanding the 867Mbps Rating
The advertised 867Mbps figure is the maximum wireless radio link rate, not the wired network speed available to connected equipment. Each bridge has one 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, so wired traffic is limited to Fast Ethernet speeds. Actual throughput will also vary with distance, alignment, interference, obstructions and local conditions.
Power and Network Connections
Each bridge requires power. The package includes two 24V passive PoE adapters, allowing power and data to travel along the Ethernet cable to each bridge. The RG-EST310 V2 uses non-standard 24V passive PoE and also supports 12V DC input.
Do not connect it directly to standard 48V IEEE 802.3af/at PoE equipment unless a compatible converter or manufacturer-approved power arrangement is used. The supplied adapters power the bridge units; cameras and other connected devices require their own suitable power source.
Compatibility and Network Planning
The bridge extends an Ethernet connection between two fixed points. Connect the local network or NVR side at one end and the remote camera network, switch or other Ethernet device at the second end. It does not provide internet access by itself and does not include cameras, an NVR or a mobile-data service.
For CCTV applications, check the combined camera bitrate against the available link capacity. Buildings, trees, metal structures, radio interference and poor antenna alignment can reduce performance.
Pairing and Setup
The two units are supplied as a paired bridge set. Install them facing one another, confirm the correct Australian country or region setting, change the administration password, align the antennas and test the link before commissioning. Ruijie Cloud management is optional and requires an internet-connected network.
Installation Guidance
IP54 protection helps resist dust and splashing water, but the bridge is not waterproof or suitable for immersion. Protect outdoor cable connections, use drip loops and weatherproof junctions, and consider surge protection and compliant earthing. Professional installation is recommended for rooftop, pole, lift-shaft and long-distance links.
