Designed for compatible Dahua AirShield systems, it combines PIR, microwave and optical detection with visual alarm verification for more accurate outdoor intrusion detection.
Best for: Driveways, side access paths, courtyards, perimeter areas and other exposed locations requiring reliable outdoor detection.
Compatibility: Dahua ARC3800H series alarm hubs only. This detector is not compatible with the ARC3000H series or ARA43 series.
Outdoor Detection with Visual Verification
The ARD2251E-W2-V uses PIR and 24 GHz microwave detection, supported by optical technology and intelligent algorithms, to recognise human movement in challenging outdoor environments. When an alarm is triggered, the integrated camera provides images for visual verification through the compatible Dahua alarm system, helping users assess activity more quickly.

Wireless Performance and Battery Life
The detector communicates with the alarm hub over Dahua’s encrypted wireless platform, with a quoted RF range of up to 1,200 metres in open space and RF-HD image transmission up to 1,000 metres in open space. Four CR123A batteries provide up to five years of operation without the camera function or up to 3.5 years with camera use, based on Dahua’s stated test conditions. Actual range and battery life will vary according to usage, signal conditions and the installation environment.
Installation and Expansion
The ARD2251E-W2-V can be wall or pole mounted at a recommended height of 0.8 to 1.3 metres. Correct placement is important for detection accuracy, pet immunity and reliable image capture, so professional installation is recommended.
