Best For: FSH FES20 and FES20M electric strike installations requiring an extended 25mm lip for additional latch clearance around timber, aluminium or metal door frames.
FSH FES20-EL25 25mm Extension Lip for FES20 and FES20M Electric Strikes
The FSH FES20-EL25 Extension Lip is a 25mm strike accessory designed for use with compatible FSH FES20 and FES20M high-security electric door strikes. It extends the strike faceplate to provide a clear path for the door latch as the door opens and closes.
Extension lips are commonly used where the profile or depth of the door frame could interfere with the latch before it reaches the electric strike keeper. The additional 25mm coverage helps protect the frame, improve latch clearance and create a cleaner professional installation.
Key Features
-
25mm extension lip for compatible FSH electric strikes
- Designed specifically for the FSH FES20 Series
- Compatible with the FES20 non-monitored electric strike
- Compatible with the FES20M fully monitored electric strike
- Provides additional clearance between the latch and door frame
- Allows the latch to move freely into the strike keeper
- Helps prevent the latch from contacting or damaging the frame
- Suitable for timber, aluminium and metal door-frame installations
- Attaches to the pre-drilled extension-lip mounting points
- Provides a neat finish for professional access control installations
Why Use a 25mm Extension Lip?
The FES20 and FES20M electric strikes are supplied with a shorter strike lip as standard. However, some timber, aluminium and metal door-frame profiles require additional coverage to allow the door latch to clear the frame.
The FES20-EL25 provides a 25mm extension, helping guide the latch into the strike jaw without rubbing or catching on the surrounding frame. It can also help cover the frame cut-out and improve the overall appearance of the installation.
Compatible Electric Strikes
-
FSH FES20: high-security, non-monitored electric strike
-
FSH FES20M: high-security, fully monitored electric strike
Both FES20 Series models are pre-drilled to accept compatible extension lips, allowing the accessory to be securely fitted without modifying the internal locking mechanism.

Selecting the Correct Extension Lip
FSH extension lips are available in different lengths to accommodate different door-frame depths and profiles. Measure the distance from the electric strike faceplate to the outside edge of the frame before ordering.
This model provides a 25mm extension. A shorter or longer lip may be more suitable depending on the frame profile, latch position and required clearance.
Installation Note
The extension lip should be securely attached to the pre-drilled mounting points on the FES20 or FES20M electric strike. Once installed, the door latch should move freely into the strike keeper without rubbing, binding or placing sideways pressure on the locking mechanism.
Installation should be completed by a qualified locksmith, security technician or access control installer. Confirm the electric strike model and required extension length before ordering.
