Control Your Alarm Through the DMSS App
The Dahua DMSS mobile app allows authorised users to remotely arm and disarm the alarm, receive event notifications, check system status and manage compatible devices when the Hub2 is connected and correctly configured.
The Hub2 supports up to 33 app users, including administrator and installer roles, together with support for up to 32 keypad users.
Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Cellular Connectivity
The ARC3800H-FW2 supports Ethernet, Wi-Fi and compatible cellular network connections. Using more than one communication method can provide additional resilience if the primary internet connection becomes unavailable.
Two SIM cards can be installed, although only one SIM operates at a time. Cellular features, SMS alerts and voice-call notifications depend on the installed SIM, mobile service and system configuration.
SIM card and mobile data services are not included. Any cellular service required for the system must be arranged separately with a compatible telecommunications provider.
Compatible Visual Alarm Verification
The Hub2 supports event images from compatible Dahua PIR camera detectors, helping users assess the cause of a motion alarm. It can also connect with up to eight compatible Dahua IP cameras on the same network for supported alarm-video functions.
Compatible cameras are sold separately. PIR camera detectors provide event-based images and do not operate as continuous CCTV cameras. IP-camera integration depends on the camera model, network configuration and system programming.
Reliable Wireless Communication
Two-way communication allows the Hub2 and paired wireless devices to exchange status information. Frequency hopping and AES128 encryption help maintain dependable and protected communication with compatible AirShield peripherals.
The system also supports device tamper monitoring, low-battery detection, event logs and offline storage for alarm messages.
Built-In Backup Battery
The Hub2 contains a 4,750 mAh rechargeable lithium battery to help maintain operation during a power interruption. Dahua specifies up to 12 hours of standby operation under its stated test conditions.
Actual backup time varies according to the network connection, number of paired devices, cellular activity, battery condition and system configuration.
Remote Updates and System Management
The Hub2 and compatible paired devices can receive cloud-based firmware updates. Remote maintenance and automatic recovery functions can assist with keeping the system operating on supported software when correctly configured.
