Panoramic Coverage and Camera Placement

A single wide-angle lens gives a broad overview from a compact wall-mounted position. The lens has manual tilt adjustment for installation; this is a fixed-focal camera, rather than a motorised zoom model.

Plan the position around entrances, vehicle paths and the activity you need to record. Panoramic coverage distributes pixels over a wider area, so choose mounting height and viewing distance carefully where facial or number-plate detail matters. An overview camera can complement a dedicated close-up camera at an entry point.

Motion Detection and Event Recording

Set motion windows and sensitivity around relevant activity. Test notification and playback settings on the selected recorder so the system captures the events you need.

Night Viewing and Mixed Lighting

WDR helps manage scenes with bright and shaded areas. Infrared illumination supports black-and-white viewing in darkness. Test the installed view after dark, checking nearby walls, reflective surfaces and objects that could affect exposure. The illumination rating describes lighting reach; it does not guarantee identification at that distance.
