Why Choose a HiLook PTZ Camera?
A PTZ camera provides flexible surveillance coverage that a conventional fixed camera cannot provide on its own.
The PTZ-N3404LIU/SL is particularly suitable where you want:
- Remote pan and tilt control
- 4× optical zoom
- Automatic target tracking
- Human and vehicle intelligent detection
- Visible active deterrence
- Two-way communication
- Flexible monitoring of several nearby areas
4MP High-Resolution Surveillance
The PTZ-N3404LIU/SL provides 4MP high-resolution imaging, giving customers more image detail than traditional 2MP Full HD surveillance while maintaining manageable recording storage requirements.
Its 4MP resolution makes it well suited to homes, driveways, commercial premises, car parks and other areas where the camera needs to provide both a general overview and closer inspection.
4× Optical Zoom with 2.8–12mm Motorised Lens
The camera's 2.8–12mm motorised lens provides up to 4× optical zoom.
This allows the camera to move between:
-
Wide-angle views for general property monitoring
-
Narrower zoomed views when closer inspection of an area is required
Unlike digital zoom, optical zoom changes the camera lens focal length, allowing closer viewing without simply enlarging existing pixels.
Pan and Tilt for Flexible Surveillance
The PTZ-N3404LIU/SL can be remotely repositioned horizontally and vertically, allowing an authorised user to monitor different areas from a single camera position.
This makes it particularly useful for locations such as:
- Driveways and front yards
- Car parks
- Commercial yards
- Warehouse entrances
- Loading areas
- Open residential areas
Human and Vehicle Intelligent Detection
Intelligent detection helps classify people and vehicles, allowing the CCTV system to focus on activity that is more likely to be security-related.
This can help reduce unnecessary events caused by general environmental movement and provides a more useful trigger for automatic tracking and deterrence features.
Automatic Target Tracking
One of the strongest features of the PTZ-N3404LIU/SL is intelligent auto-tracking.
When configured, the PTZ camera can automatically move to follow a detected target as it travels through the monitored area.
This can be particularly useful across:
- Driveways
- Car parks
- Commercial yards
- Warehouse surrounds
- Open access areas
Note: Auto-tracking performance depends on camera positioning, scene conditions, detection configuration and the movement of the target.
Active Deterrence with Red & Blue Warning Lights
The PTZ-N3404LIU/SL can provide a visible deterrence response when configured security events occur.
- Red and blue flashing warning lights
- Built-in speaker
- Two-way audio communication
- White-light illumination
These features make the camera particularly useful where you want a potential intruder to know that their activity has been detected rather than simply recording an event for later review.
Two-Way Audio for Real-Time Communication
The camera includes a built-in microphone and speaker, allowing compatible systems to provide two-way audio communication.
This can be useful for:
- Warning unwanted visitors
- Speaking with delivery drivers
- Communicating at gates and entrances
- Responding to after-hours activity
- Managing remote access areas
Night Surveillance up to 50 Metres
Integrated infrared illumination provides night surveillance at distances of up to approximately 50 metres.
This provides considerably more night-time coverage than many compact fixed cameras and makes the PTZ-N3404LIU/SL suitable for larger outdoor areas.
White-Light Illumination
The camera also includes white-light illumination at distances of up to approximately 6 metres.
Visible lighting can provide additional colour information during configured events and also contributes to the camera's deterrence capability.
120dB True WDR for Difficult Lighting
The camera's 120dB true Wide Dynamic Range helps retain useful image detail when bright and dark areas appear within the same scene.
This can be particularly useful when monitoring entrances, driveways, gates and outdoor areas affected by strong sunlight or backlighting.
Local microSD Storage up to 256GB
The PTZ-N3404LIU/SL supports compatible microSD cards up to 256GB, providing an additional local recording option.
For multi-camera CCTV systems and longer footage retention, connection to a compatible NVR with a surveillance-grade hard drive is recommended.
PoE for Simplified Installation
The PTZ-N3404LIU/SL supports Power over Ethernet, allowing compatible equipment to provide power and network connectivity through an Ethernet cable.
Because PTZ cameras can require more power than standard fixed cameras, always confirm that the NVR, PoE switch or injector provides the correct PoE standard and sufficient power before installation.
HiLook NVR Compatibility
The PTZ-N3404LIU/SL is an IP network PTZ camera designed for use with compatible HiLook network video recorders and network CCTV systems.
If adding this PTZ to an existing system, check that your recorder supports:
- 4MP IP camera recording
- PTZ control
- Human and vehicle detection features
- Auto-tracking functionality
- Two-way audio
- Required PoE power

PTZ-N3404LIU/SL or PTZ-N4225I-DE?
These two HiLook PTZ cameras suit quite different applications:
-
PTZ-N3404LIU/SL – 4MP resolution, 4× optical zoom, auto-tracking, two-way audio and active deterrence for closer and medium-range intelligent surveillance
-
PTZ-N4225I-DE – 2MP resolution with powerful 25× optical zoom and 100m IR for larger sites requiring significantly longer-range viewing
Choose the PTZ-N3404LIU/SL when intelligent detection, auto-tracking and deterrence are the priority. Choose the PTZ-N4225I-DE when long-range optical zoom is the primary requirement.
PTZ Camera or Fixed Camera?
PTZ and fixed cameras perform complementary roles within a CCTV system.
-
PTZ Camera – Provides flexible pan, tilt and zoom coverage and can monitor different areas as required
-
Fixed Camera – Continuously records one predetermined area such as a doorway, driveway or gate
For important locations requiring continuous surveillance, fixed cameras are often used alongside a PTZ rather than being completely replaced by one.
