Power Larger Security Systems
The W-DC12-12A distributes power across 16 separately protected outputs, allowing multiple compatible devices to be powered from one central cabinet. Individual output protection helps isolate branch faults, while the LED indicators make it easier to identify an affected circuit during servicing.
The combined load of all connected devices must remain within the power supply’s total output capacity. Equipment start-up current, cable voltage drop and battery-charging requirements should also be considered when calculating the system load.
Resettable Output Protection
Each of the 16 outputs is protected by a resettable device rated at 1.85A. This helps protect individual circuits without requiring a conventional fuse to be replaced after every temporary overload or fault.
The 1.85A figure applies to the protection fitted to each output. It does not mean that all outputs can simultaneously supply 1.85A—the combined connected load must remain within the power supply’s total capacity.
Battery-Backup Support
The power supply supports a compatible backup battery to help maintain operation during a mains-power interruption. Mains-fail and low-battery contacts can be connected to compatible alarm or monitoring equipment to report power-related faults.
Please note: The backup battery is not included. Battery capacity should be selected according to the connected load, required standby time and available cabinet space.
