Power Larger Security Installations
The W-DC12-24A distributes power across 32 separately protected outputs, allowing a large number of compatible security devices to be powered from one central cabinet. Individual output protection helps isolate branch faults, while LED indicators allow technicians to identify affected circuits more efficiently.
The combined load of all connected equipment must remain within the power supply’s total output capacity. Camera start-up current, infrared illumination, access-control locking devices, cable voltage drop and other peak-load requirements should be included when calculating the system load.
Adjustable Output Voltage
The output can be adjusted between approximately 11.8V and 13.8V DC. This allows a suitably qualified technician to configure the supply for the connected equipment and compensate for appropriate cable voltage drop where required.
Output voltage must remain within the permitted input range of every connected device. Increasing the voltage without confirming equipment compatibility may damage cameras, controllers or other security components.
Individually Protected Outputs
Each of the 32 outputs includes 1.85A protection to help isolate individual connected circuits during an overload or fault. The 1.85A figure applies to each output’s protection and does not mean all outputs can simultaneously supply that current.
The combined connected load must remain within the power supply’s total rated capacity.
Optional Battery-Backup Support
The W-DC12-24A can support an optional compatible battery-backup arrangement when correctly configured. Battery capacity and charging requirements must be matched to the connected load and required standby period.
