Power Multiple Security Devices

The W-DC12-8A provides 16 separately fused outputs for distributing power to multiple compatible devices from one cabinet. Individual output fuses help isolate a connected circuit if a fault occurs, while the LED indicators allow technicians to identify an affected output more quickly.

The combined load of all connected devices must remain within the power supply’s total 8A output capacity. Equipment start-up current, cable voltage drop and battery-charging requirements should also be considered when calculating the system load.

Battery-Backup Support

The power supply supports a compatible backup battery to help maintain operation during a mains-power interruption. Mains-fail and low-battery contacts can be connected to compatible alarm or monitoring equipment to report power-related faults.
