Hills Reliance XR Hybrid Alarm Control Panel and Enclosure
The Hills Security Alarm System XR provides a flexible hybrid alarm platform for homes and small businesses. It can be used for a new installation or as a replacement control panel where compatible existing detectors, sirens, keypads and cabling can be retained.
With onboard Ethernet connectivity, an integrated ITI wireless receiver and UltraSync+ app support, the Reliance XR combines wired alarm reliability with compatible wireless expansion and remote system access.

UltraSync+ Smartphone App and Internet Requirements
The XR panel includes onboard Ethernet connectivity for connection to a compatible internet router. Once professionally configured with UltraSync+, users can remotely arm or disarm the alarm, receive event notifications, check supported door and window zones, view system status and review event history.
Important: onboard IP connectivity uses an Ethernet cable. Wi-Fi or 4G operation requires a compatible additional module. App access, cloud services and professional monitoring may require account setup or ongoing service charges.
Wired and Wireless Compatibility
The Reliance XR is a hybrid panel that supports hard-wired zones and compatible ITI wireless detectors, reed switches and remote controls. Additional zone expanders and wireless accessories can be added within the panel’s supported capacity.
Compatibility must be checked by model and device technology. Not every Hills or third-party keypad, detector, siren or wireless device is supported.
Replacing an Existing Hills Reliance Panel
Compatible existing detectors, reed switches, sirens and cabling may be reused when replacing an older Hills Reliance control panel. This can reduce disruption and avoid replacing serviceable equipment unnecessarily.
The existing keypad, wireless devices, zone wiring, end-of-line resistors and siren circuits should be assessed before installation. Faulty, obsolete or incompatible components will require replacement.

A complete working alarm system will require compatible supporting equipment, including:
- Hills Reliance-compatible codepad
- Suitable 16V plug-pack power supply
- 12V rechargeable backup battery
- Compatible detectors and door or window contacts
- Internal and external alarm warning devices where required
- Ethernet connection for onboard UltraSync+ access
- Optional Wi-Fi, cellular, expansion or monitoring equipment where required

Choose the XR for many homes and small businesses. Choose the XR Pro for larger or more complex sites requiring extensive expansion, additional areas or substantially more users.
Power, Programming and Installation
This panel requires a suitable 16V plug-pack power supply, a nearby power outlet and a compatible 12V rechargeable backup battery. These items are not included with SKU NXX-4-W-AU.
Professional installation is recommended. The panel must be mounted securely, powered correctly, connected to compatible field devices, programmed and tested. UltraSync+ and any remote monitoring services must also be commissioned.
