Upgrade Kits

Choose a complete upgrade kit when the replacement requires a new 12V backup battery and 16V plug-pack power supply. These kits also include resistors, documentation and CTC warning stickers.

Choose a panel-and-enclosure package when the installer will supply the correct battery, power supply and other equipment separately.

A compatible codepad, detectors and alarm warning devices are still required for a complete working system. These are not included with either package type.

Compatible wired detectors, reed switches, sirens and existing cabling may be retained when replacing an older Hills Reliance panel. This can reduce installation disruption and avoid replacing serviceable equipment unnecessarily.

Compatibility is not universal. Existing keypads, wireless devices, zone wiring, end-of-line resistors, power requirements and siren circuits should be inspected and tested. Faulty, obsolete or incompatible components will require replacement.

Reliance XR and XR Pro panels include onboard Ethernet connectivity. Once professionally configured with UltraSync+, users can remotely arm or disarm the system, receive event notifications, check supported sensor status and review event history.

Ethernet is standard: the panel requires a cable connection to a compatible internet router. Wi-Fi or cellular operation requires an additional compatible module. App access, cloud services and professional monitoring may require account setup or ongoing service charges.

Both platforms are hybrid alarm systems that support hard-wired zones and compatible wireless devices. The XR includes an onboard ITI wireless receiver. XR Pro supports compatible legacy 60-bit ITI and newer 80plus encrypted wireless devices.

Wireless compatibility depends on the product model and technology. Confirm compatibility before ordering keypads, detectors, reed switches, remote controls or expansion equipment.

Alarm-panel replacement is not a plug-and-play task. Installation requires the existing panel to be safely disconnected, compatible zone wiring transferred, end-of-line values checked, field devices tested, the new system programmed and UltraSync+ commissioned.
