Upgrade a Larger Hills Reliance Alarm System with the XR Pro Panel Kit

Modernise a compatible Hills Reliance alarm while retaining suitable detectors, sirens and cabling. The Hills Reliance XR Pro is a high-capacity hybrid alarm platform designed for larger homes, businesses and multi-area sites requiring advanced expansion, onboard Ethernet connectivity and UltraSync+ app support.

Best For

Larger residential, commercial, education, retail, aged-care and warehouse sites that need more zones, users, areas and expansion capacity than the standard Reliance XR panel.

Can Existing Alarm Equipment Be Reused?

The XR Pro is designed as an upgrade path for compatible Hills Reliance installations. Suitable wired detectors, reed switches, sirens, cabling and selected wireless peripherals may be retained, helping reduce disruption and replacement costs.

Compatibility is not universal. Existing keypads, wireless devices, zone wiring, resistors, power requirements and siren circuits should be assessed before installation. Faulty, obsolete or incompatible equipment may need replacement.

UltraSync+ Smartphone App and Internet Requirements

The XR Pro includes onboard Ethernet connectivity for connection to a compatible internet router. Once professionally configured with UltraSync+, users can remotely arm or disarm the alarm, receive event notifications, check supported sensor status and review event history.

The encrypted UltraSync cloud connection can also support remote programming and connection to a professional monitoring service where configured.

Important: onboard IP connectivity uses an Ethernet cable. Wi-Fi or cellular operation requires a compatible additional module. App access, cloud services and professional monitoring may require account setup or ongoing service charges.

Wired and Wireless Compatibility

The Reliance XR Pro is a hybrid alarm panel that can combine hard-wired zones with compatible wireless detectors, reed switches and remote controls. Its broader wireless support makes it useful where legacy equipment must be retained while newer encrypted devices are added.

Wireless technology and model compatibility must be confirmed before ordering. Not every Hills or third-party wireless device will operate with this panel.

Choose the standard XR for many homes and small businesses. Choose XR Pro for larger or more complex systems requiring extensive expansion, additional areas or substantially more users.

Power, Programming and Installation

The XR Pro operates from the included 16V plug-pack power supply and uses the included 12V battery for backup during a mains power interruption. A suitable nearby power outlet is required.

This is not a plug-and-play replacement. Installation requires the old panel to be safely disconnected, zone wiring transferred, compatible equipment tested, the system programmed and UltraSync+ commissioned. Professional installation is recommended.

good morning, I am really unhappy about the support I got from your company when I called for support. I was asked to send all my credentials including passcode and then I didn't hear back from CTC for 24 hrs. At the end if the second day waiting I was told that CTC can't connect to my system. Well, that can happen but then you grab the phone and call to sort it out. Instead radio silence ... :-(

The replacement receiver is somewhat configured different from the older version,
As I have two working receivers switching relays, on an outside PE Beams. every 10 or so on - off from new and older tranmitters, , the new relay button 3, stops working. only older receiver switch's, need to push button 3 on- off 2 -3 times than comes good for the next 10 or so On - off. other than that, good, I have been using the NX panels and receivers long before the re naming. I have work in the Electrical and security for over 40 years. from the old days when keys and toggles operated alarm panel.
