Bosch Wireless Alarm Motion Detectors

Both models are intended for indoor use and require a compatible Bosch wireless receiver and supported alarm-panel configuration.

The Bosch RFPR-12 RADION wireless PIR detector provides 12m × 12m indoor coverage and pet immunity specified up to 13kg when installed according to Bosch requirements.

This is the practical choice for common rooms where standard PIR detection and small-pet immunity are suitable.

The Bosch RFDL-11 RADION wireless TriTech detector combines PIR and microwave technologies, provides 11m × 11m indoor coverage and has pet immunity specified up to 45kg when correctly installed.

TriTech processing can help improve stability, but correct mounting, aiming, programming and walk testing remain essential.

RADION detectors do not connect directly to every Bosch alarm panel. A compatible Bosch wireless receiver must be installed and correctly configured for the selected panel and detector version.

Selected compatible configurations may include Bosch Solution 3000, Solution 6000 and other supported Bosch premises alarm systems. Compatibility must be checked using all three model details:

• The alarm control panel model and firmware
• The wireless receiver model
• The detector model and regional frequency

Pet immunity is a model rating, not a guarantee against every pet-related alarm. Reliable performance depends on the detector being installed and programmed according to the manufacturer’s requirements.

• Use the specified mounting height and angle.
• Avoid aiming the detector towards stairs, shelves or furniture pets can climb.
• Consider the pet’s weight, height, movement and access to elevated surfaces.
• Keep the detection area away from heaters, direct sunlight and moving curtains.
• Walk-test the completed installation under normal property conditions.

Wireless detectors use replaceable batteries and report through the compatible receiver. Actual battery life varies with operating conditions, radio traffic, temperature, detector activity and battery quality.

• Use the battery type specified for the detector.
• Replace batteries promptly when a low-battery warning is reported.
• Check detector communication and tamper operation after servicing.
• Complete a full walk test after battery replacement or repositioning.

Wireless installation removes the detector cable run, but the detector must still be enrolled, programmed, positioned and tested correctly.
