Best For: Single-door access points at offices, warehouses, apartment common areas and gates that need locally managed PIN or compatible proximity-credential access
Rosslare AC-Q42SB Standalone Access Controller
The Rosslare AC-Q42SB combines a backlit 3 × 4 PIN keypad, a 125 kHz proximity reader and the door-control relays in one IP65 anti-vandal metal unit. It manages one door locally and supports up to 500 users without requiring a network controller, computer or management software.
Users can be assigned a four-to-eight-digit PIN, a compatible proximity credential or both, depending on the selected security mode and programming. This is a standalone single-door controller, not simply a reader and not a complete access-control system.
Credential compatibility: Use compatible 125 kHz, 26-bit EM cards or fobs. The AC-Q42SB does not read 13.56 MHz MIFARE or DESFire credentials. Confirm the credential technology and format before ordering.

Power and Professional Installation
The AC-Q42SB requires a regulated 12–24 V DC power supply. At 12 V DC, current draw can reach approximately 625 mA when the internal heater is operating, so the power supply must be sized for the keypad, electric lock and any connected accessories.
Professional low-voltage installation is recommended. The installer must confirm the lock type, power requirements, relay wiring, request-to-exit input, door monitoring and site security risk before commissioning. Because the relays are inside the external keypad, higher-risk doors may require a secure split-controller design with switching equipment located on the protected side.
