Electronically Registered Armature Plate
The FEM4000HST uses an electronically registered armature plate that is matched to the magnetic lock. This high-security design helps prevent an unauthorised or substituted armature plate from being used to provide a false locked indication.
An internal processor recognises the registered armature, adding another level of protection for applications where conventional magnetic locking may not provide sufficient security.
Monitored Lock Status
A Hall-effect Lock Status Sensor (LSS) provides system feedback on the magnetic lock’s secure status. This allows the lock to be integrated with a compatible access controller, alarm system or building management platform for central monitoring.
The electronically registered armature and lock status monitoring make the FEM4000HST particularly suitable for sites requiring reliable feedback and improved resistance to tampering.
Anti-Tamper Protection
An anti-tamper plate is supplied as standard to help protect the armature plate’s dome-nut fixing bolt from hostile attack. This reinforces the installation and helps reduce the risk of the armature assembly being removed or interfered with.
Fail-Safe 12/24V DC Operation
The FEM4000HST operates as a fail-safe or Power To Lock magnetic lock. Power is applied to secure the door, and the lock releases when power is removed. This makes it suitable for access-controlled exits where unlocking may be required during a power failure or emergency condition.
The lock supports field-selectable 12V or 24V DC operation, allowing it to be integrated with a wide range of professional access control power supplies.
