Solar Power and Operating Modes
The compact 6.5 W solar panel charges the built-in 51.46 Wh battery. Choose a mounting position with good sunlight, angle the panel appropriately and keep it clear of dirt and shade.
Operating mode has a substantial effect on battery life and camera performance. Standby operation conserves energy, while more active monitoring, infrared illumination and mobile transmission increase power use. Standby endurance should not be interpreted as the same number of days of continuous recording.
Runtime varies with sunlight, temperature, signal conditions and activity. Assess the site and select suitable settings rather than relying on an uninterrupted surveillance claim. The manufacturer identifies the 12 V DC input as being for debugging only.
Human and Vehicle Detection with PIR and Radar
Human and vehicle detection helps users focus on relevant activity around gates, access paths and stored equipment. The PIR and radar sensor provides a detection range of up to 12 m. Position the camera to suit the approach direction and test detection after installation.
Two-Way Audio and Night-Time Viewing
The built-in microphone and speaker allow you to listen and speak through the camera remotely when connected. This can help with visitors, deliveries and activity at a monitored entrance.
Infrared illumination provides black-and-white viewing in darkness. The documented range is up to 30 m in performance mode or up to 10 m in proactive mode, so night-time coverage should be considered alongside the selected power settings.
4G Access and Recording
A compatible Micro-SIM, active mobile data plan and adequate signal are required for 4G remote access. Once configured, Hik-Connect supports live viewing and playback. Video streaming uses mobile data; frequent viewing requires a larger allowance than occasional checks.
Built-in eMMC provides limited local storage, while a suitable microSD card up to 256 GB can extend recording capacity. Recording duration depends on resolution, bitrate, activity and recording settings. A separate NVR is not required for local storage.
