The 40m rating describes illumination range, rather than a guaranteed identification distance. Camera position, exposure, subject movement and nearby reflective surfaces affect results. Aim the camera to minimise reflected IR from walls and eaves.
AcuSense Human and Vehicle Detection
Human and vehicle classification helps supported event rules focus on activity relevant to the site. Line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exiting rules can be configured around gates, access paths and boundaries.
Classification can reduce irrelevant alerts, but setup still matters. Adjust detection areas, schedules and sensitivity to the location, then test the system with real movement. Available recording, notification and search functions depend on the connected recorder and firmware.
Built-In Microphone for Audio Recording
The integrated microphone captures sound alongside video when the camera and recorder are configured for audio. This can help explain activity around an entrance or loading area during playback.
This IU model has a microphone but does not include a built-in speaker, strobe light or audible deterrent alarm. Choose a suitable active-deterrence model if those functions are required.
