Solar Power and Battery Management
The solar panel charges the battery during suitable daylight conditions. Position it away from shade and keep its surface clean to support charging throughout the year.
Battery runtime depends on sunlight, temperature, infrared use, mobile transmission and operating mode. Extended poor weather or heavy use can reduce runtime. Low-battery sleep protection may interrupt monitoring until sufficient power is available; continuous operation should be assessed for the installation site.
4G Remote Access and Local Recording
Use a compatible Micro-SIM with an active mobile data plan and adequate signal at the mounting location. Check carrier compatibility before ordering. Live viewing and uploading footage consume mobile data; frequent or continuous streaming requires a larger allowance.
A suitable microSD card enables local recording without a separate NVR. Hik-Connect can provide remote live view and playback once the camera, mobile connection and recording settings are configured. Remote access depends on network availability and camera power.
Event Detection and Night-Time Viewing
