Best For: Retail entrances, offices, warehouses, apartment buildings and commercial sites needing 8MP / 4K detail, AcuSense human and vehicle classification, strong low-light performance and a focused 4mm field of view.
Hikvision DS-2CD2186G2H-ISU 8MP 4K AcuSense DarkFighter Dome Camera – 4mm
The Hikvision DS-2CD2186G2H-ISU is an 8MP / 4K AcuSense fixed dome network camera designed for detailed indoor and outdoor surveillance. It combines a 1/1.8-inch sensor, F1.0 Super Confocal lens, Powered-by-DarkFighter low-light imaging, 130dB WDR, human and vehicle classification, built-in microphone, 30m Smart IR and a rugged IP67 / IK10 housing.
CTC Communications stocks this product with a 4mm fixed lens, providing a more focused field of view than the 2.8mm version. This makes it well suited to entrances, driveways, warehouse aisles, corridors and other areas where the target zone is more defined.

8MP / 4K Detail with a 4mm Lens
The 3840 × 2160 resolution provides detailed footage for incident review and identification. The stocked 4mm lens delivers a 90° horizontal, 45.8° vertical and 109.4° diagonal field of view, giving more concentration on a defined target area than a wider 2.8mm lens.
Powered-by-DarkFighter Low-Light Imaging
The 1/1.8-inch Progressive Scan CMOS sensor and F1.0 aperture provide strong low-light performance down to 0.0008 Lux in colour. Smart IR then provides black-and-white illumination up to 30 metres when the scene becomes too dark for colour imaging.
AcuSense Human & Vehicle Classification
Hikvision AcuSense uses deep-learning algorithms to focus motion events on people and vehicles. This helps reduce unnecessary alerts caused by unrelated movement and makes recorded event searches more relevant when paired with a compatible Hikvision NVR.
Built-in Audio & Alarm Integration
The ISU version includes a built-in microphone for real-time audio capture as well as audio and alarm interfaces for broader security-system integration. This can add useful context to recorded events and support more advanced installation requirements.
Vandal-Resistant Outdoor Dome
The camera carries IP67 weather protection and an IK10 vandal-resistance rating, making it suitable for exposed and publicly accessible areas where a durable dome housing is preferred.
Ideal Applications
- retail entrances and point-of-sale approaches
- commercial and office buildings
- warehouses and storage facilities
- apartment complexes and common areas
- driveways and building access points
