Hikvision Bullet Cameras – Security for Home & Business

Explore Hikvision bullet cameras for driveways, entrances, shopfronts, car parks and commercial perimeters. The range includes 4MP Wi-Fi cameras, 6MP and 8MP fixed mini bullets, larger bullets with extended infrared illumination, motorised varifocal models and 180° panoramic cameras.

Choose the lens, lighting and detection features to suit your property. Selected models offer AcuSense human and vehicle classification, Powered by DarkFighter imaging, ColorVu, Smart Hybrid Light, two-way audio and active warnings.

How to Choose a Hikvision Bullet Camera
  • General coverage: a 2.8mm fixed lens provides a wide view; exact coverage varies by model.
  • A more focused view: consider a 4mm option where available, or a motorised varifocal lens for adjustable framing.
  • Low-light detail: compare DarkFighter and ColorVu models against the site's available lighting.
  • More relevant alerts: choose a model with human and vehicle classification.
  • Active warnings: select a camera with the required strobe, speaker and audio functions.
  • Wide frontages: consider a 180° panoramic model.
  • Wi-Fi connectivity: the 4MP Wi-Fi bullet needs a suitable local power supply and reliable wireless coverage.
AcuSense, DarkFighter & ColorVu

AcuSense classifies human and vehicle targets for supported motion and perimeter events, helping reduce alerts from unrelated movement when configured correctly.

Powered by DarkFighter, DarkFighter S and DarkFighter 2.0 improve low-light imaging on their respective models. In darkness, IR-equipped cameras can record black-and-white footage.

ColorVu helps capture colour detail using available light and suitable optics. Colour recording in complete darkness requires white illumination or another visible light source. Selected G3 cameras also use HikAI-ISP image processing.

Infrared & Smart Hybrid Light

IR-equipped cameras in this range offer illumination distances from 30m to 80m, depending on the model. These figures describe lighting reach, rather than guaranteed recognition or identification distances.

Smart Hybrid Light models support infrared, white-light and smart modes. With compatible event settings, smart mode can switch from IR to white light around a detected target. The 6MP panoramic DS-2CD2T67G2P-LSU/SL uses white-light illumination rather than infrared.

4MP, 6MP & 8MP Camera Options

4MP: the Wi-Fi bullet provides a compact option where wireless networking suits the installation.

6MP: fixed and panoramic options suit home entrances, retail frontages and general commercial coverage.

8MP: standard 4K models capture 3840 × 2160 video. Panoramic 8MP cameras use a wider image format, so check the model's resolution and field of view.

Choose resolution alongside lens framing, lighting, mounting position and the detail needed at the target distance. Storage and bandwidth requirements also depend on bitrate, frame rate and recording schedules.

Fixed, Motorised & 180° Panoramic Lenses

Fixed lenses provide a set field of view. The supplied focal length varies by product or lens variant.

Motorised 2.7–13.5mm varifocal lenses on selected DarkFighter models allow remote adjustment of framing during setup. Optical zoom changes coverage; these are fixed-position cameras rather than pan-tilt-zoom cameras.

180° panoramic cameras suit broad frontages, loading areas and car parks. The 6MP G2P uses dual lenses, while the current 8MP G3P uses a different optical design. Check each model's vertical coverage as well as its horizontal view.

Audio, Active Warnings & Outdoor Protection

Audio varies across the range. Some cameras have a microphone only; selected models add a speaker for two-way communication, a warning strobe and audible alarm. Check the individual product specifications before choosing these functions.

Most cameras in the collection are IP67 rated; the Wi-Fi model is IP66. Selected motorised models also have IK10 impact resistance, and selected G3 and motorised cameras carry NEMA 4X ratings. Weather resistance, impact resistance and corrosion protection are separate specifications. Protect connections and assess site exposure.

Recording, Power & Hik-Connect

Pair a compatible camera with a Hikvision network video recorder for central recording and playback. Many models also support memory cards up to 512GB, sold separately.

Check the power specification for each camera. Some support standard PoE, while higher-power models require PoE+. The Wi-Fi bullet uses 12V DC rather than PoE. Confirm both per-port capability and the recorder or switch's total power budget.

Hik-Connect supports remote viewing and supported event notifications once internet access and the system are configured. Available audio and event functions depend on the camera, recorder and software.

Installation, Accessories & Warranty
